Welcome to our school. Scoil Ṁuire has been at the forefront of education for girls in Cork since its inception in 1951. Our unique and extensive history, celebrated alumni, and ongoing commitment to the education of each individual pupil, fosters pride in our school’s reputation as a centre for excellence. As the head of the management team and of a committed faculty, I am proud that our Junior and Leaving Certificate grades more than exceed the national average each year. Scoil Ṁuire is recognised as a leading school for girls in Ireland.

A warm welcome awaits you at Scoil Ṁuire. Working together with you, we aim to provide a challenging and exploratory academic setting for your daughter in which we offer a full complement of school subjects. We want our pupils to be happy, friendly and confident; to use their time and talents well; and to be sensitive, respectful and caring for others, both in school and in the wider community. We encourage then to have an enquiring mind and a lively imagination. We help them to understand their faith intelligently and to live it wholeheartedly, as pupils of a Catholic school which respects at all times the beliefs of other traditions. This, coupled with our aim to enhance the self-esteem and moral integrity of each girl, promises a fulfilling future.

The school is ideally situated in the city, with an excellent rail and bus network at hand. We are highly regarded and an integral part of the local community, continuously fostering altruistic links with community ventures. The full redevelopment of our school buildings promises an enhanced learning experience, consolidating our ambitions for your child.
